So, it's now officially 2018 (Happy New Year to one and all) and just to kick-start the blog I'm going to post a few quick pictures of some of the Christmas Cards I made and sent this (last) year. Nothing overly complicated (although I was happy with them) and certainly not the best of photographs (I hope to have a better set up for photos in my new craft area). First (and my favourite card as my daughter is a huge Elf (the movie) fan) was this one... Using a DL card base, I used a Kaisercraft text stamp and then various dies to make the legs/feet/hat/feather - for example, I used an old Quickutz die which was originally intended to be the shaft of a hammer for the legs, a Quickutz boot die for the curly-toed shoes (cut down) and a Sizzix Sizzlits diamond shaped die for the hat - cut in half. I also started off by hand-cutting my own feather for the hat, but then I found a Quickutz hat die on eBay which had a feather as part of the design, so I bought that chea...
